BCCI to investigate Wriddhiman Saha tweet, wants strict action against those found guilty

The BCCI doesn't want to let go of those found guilty of sending insulting WhatsApp messages to Indian cricketer Wriddhiman Saha as the India board has called for a thorough investigation.

Saha had openly criticised a 'respected journalist' for sending insulting messages to him after he allegedly didn't respond to his request of giving him an interview. From former India head coach Ravi Shastri to ex-cricketers including Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, RP Singh and Aakash Chopra came out in support of the Indian wicketkeeper-batter.

An official tracking the development told the Times of India that Saha is a contracted cricketer of the BCCI and the onus is on the Board to not let its own player down. 'If there's any kind of a nexus at work here, one has to look into it,' added the source.
