Their happiness knew no bounds after the visiting team broke New Zealand's 17-match unbeaten run on home soil. Upon achieving the historic feat, the winners rejoiced in their dressing room as they sang, 'Amra Korbo joy', the Bengali version of the famous track, 'Hum Hongey Kamyab'.

Their first-ever victory has come in 16 matches of the longest format of the game, which includes 12 losses and 3 draws. Former cricketers and fans joined in their celebrations. VVS Laxman to Parthiv Patel, NZ cricketer Danny Morrison to Wasim Jaffer, all congratulated Bangladesh for their fabulous win.
