Virat Kohli will etch his name in history books the moment he steps onto the field on Sunday for Team India's Asia Cup 2022 opener vs arch-rivals Pakistan.

Virat's wait for an international hundred may be getting longer but the former India skipper will complete a century of games in the shortest format. King Kohli will also become the first cricketer on the planet to play 100 games in each format of cricket.

On this special occasion, his good friend and former RCB teammate AB de Villiers sent him a special message. In a video posted by Star Sports, ABD said 'I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate my very good friend Virat Kohli on becoming the first Indian cricket player to play 100 matches across all three formats. What an amazing achievement, Virat. We're all very proud of you and all the very best in your 100th T20 international game. We will be watching you.'

Virat's former India teammate Harbhajan Singh also lavished praise on the former skipper, saying that he has no doubt that Kohli will rise again. Bhajji said that he met Virat and he was looking very relaxed.
