It has been 231 days since India suffered a 10-wicket drubbing from Pakistan in the 2021 World Cup. And come Sunday the two neighbouring continues will once again renew their rivalry when they lock horns in their Asia Cup 2022 opener at the Dubai International Stadium.

Though the world cup defeat from the arch-rivals is still etched in the memories of Indian fans, India's vice-captain KL Rahul feels otherwise.

In the pre-match press conference, Rahul stressed upon the disappointment of the World Cup loss but said that on Sunday both teams would start from zero.

Rahul's statement came on the back of India's outing in T20I cricket after the T20 World Cup. Since then, India has been playing a fearless brand of cricket. With an approach to go all out from ball one, the Men In Blue have won 19 out of their 24 T20Is after the first-round exit from T20 World Cup last year.

However, despite all the build-up around the India-Pakistan game, all eyes will be on India's former captain Virat Kohli, who is returning to international cricket after a months break. Kohli has been India's go-to batter against the Men In Green and when the last time the two teams met, he scored 57 runs.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will certainly miss the services of Shaheen Afridi. His accurate line and length have created many problems for Indian batters in the previous meetings.
