England's mighty collapse on Day 3 of the fifth and final Test match at Hobart summed up England's Ashes debacle in Australia.

After bowling superbly in their second innings, England bundled out the hosts for a mere 155, thanks to an inspirational performance from pacer Mark Wood, who scalped six wickets.

It seemed that Joe Root's side would win at least one match in their horrific Ashes campaign as the openers gave the visitors a flying start while chasing 271 runs.

At one point, England were at 68/0 as Zak Crawley and Rory Burns saw off the new ball threat from Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Scott Boland.

But it was Aussie all-rounder Cameron Green who proved to be a gamechanger and trigged an England collapse, in which the visitors lost 10 wickets while scoring only 56 runs. England were bundled out for 124 runs, thus losing the match by 176 runs. Green, Cummins, and Boland took three wickets each as Australia retained the Ashes Urn and clinched the series 4-0.
