According to a recent survey, employees working from home should be closely checked upon. 

Survey shows 55% bosses believe employees working remotely should be micro-managed

No wonder why bosses sometimes are apprehensive about approving work from home (WFH) requests, as 55% of them believe that it is important to frequently check upon the employees working remotely.

This data came up as a result of a survey done by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), an industry body for HR workers and management professionals.

However, 28% of the leaders said that if organisations are using software to monitor the productivity of the employees, the culture of micromanagement can be put to rest. Employers should be clear about the HR policies and be transparent to their employees about what is being monitored and why.

Therefore, the debate that has divided employers is still being taken into consideration and what is acceptable in the remote working culture and what is not remains a subjective matter.
