Orange Peel Theory for relationship test: Why more Gen Zs are opting for this new trend

Gen-Z's have a new way of doing everything. Be it new dating terms or new ways to test relationships, Gen Z ways are catching up with the world. The latest TikTok trend, the viral Orange peel theory has left netizens divided. Wondering what we are talking about? Read on!

The Viral Orange Peel Theory

Social media is filled with trends. From what to eat to how to test your man's loyalty, the internet seems to have a solution for everything and anything. The latest remedy from the internet is all about relationships.

The viral orange peel theory is all about asking your partner to peel an orange for you. It focuses on the acts of service from your partner. So, to conduct this test, approach your partner with an orange and if they peel it for you, they pass the ‘Orange Peel Theory’ test. Many internet users have shared how their partners did the simple act without even thinking twice.

According to Gen-Z, small gestures go a long way. The viral theory supports that a partner who does little things to make your life easier is a keeper. These acts should however be voluntary and not forced upon them. The test tells you if your partner has the capability of doing little things for you and if they understand your needs.

But

While Gen-Z have their own parameter to judge relationship, it is important to note that not everyone shows affection in the same way. Failing the 'Orange Peel Theory' is not enough proof that your relationship or partner is not putting an effort.

At the same time, it is important to note that passing the 'Orange Peel Theory' test is not a guarantee for love or comittment.
