Listen up dads! Engaging with your kids helps them to do better academically

A recent study led by the University of Leeds has uncovered an invaluable insight for fathers everywhere: your active involvement in your child's life significantly contributes to their academic success. The study, which delved into the dynamics of 5,000 "mother-father households" in England, focused on the test scores of 5 to 7-year-old children and yielded remarkable findings.

Data for this study was taken from the Millennium Cohort Study

Utilizing data from the Millennium Cohort Study, which meticulously documented the lives of children born in the United Kingdom between 2000 and 2002, the research illuminated a compelling connection between father's engagements and educational outcomes.

It was found in the study that the involvement of dads with their kids, helped in boosting the grades of the child in school. On the other hand, the mother who engaged more with their children had more of an impact on their social development than on their grades.
