Father's Day 2023: New poll reveals 'airport dads' is a real thing; these videos are proofs

Ahead of Father's Day, a new study conducted by Jet2holidays has revealed that millions of dads feel an obligation to take the lead when going on a holiday.

A poll of over 1,000 dads found that 69 per cent tend to take charge when jetting off on holiday; from insisting on getting to the airport many hours earlier to seizing passports to luggage check-ins, and these TikTok videos are proofs.

Other common behaviours include checking the travel documents several times, carrying luggage instead of wheeling it, monitoring the departure screen and putting all luggage near the front door or in the car the night before.

The study also stated that 40 per cent of fathers enter 'dad mode' at airports because they want to ensure everything goes as per plan.

Further, it was noted that 18 per cent of fathers admitted they can’t help themselves and enjoy taking charge.
