World Tuberculosis Day is observed on 24 March every year, to spread awareness about this global epidemic and promote efforts to eliminate the disease.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), millions of people fall prey to TB but with proper care and a healthy diet, this deadly disease can be defeated.&nbsp;
TB patients must consume energy-boosting foods like whole-grain cereals, millets, ghee, nuts and seeds which are rich in carbohydrates and healthy fats.
Protein-rich food like meats and fish or lentils, milk and dairy products are equally recommended.
Ensure to consume all important vitamins and minerals. Fruits and veggies like mangoes, oranges, sweet potatoes, carrots, guavas, amlas and tomatoes are excellent sources of Vitamin A, C and E.
Leafy vegetables are vital sources of vitamins and minerals and should be a part of a TB patient's diet with about 5-6 servings per day.

63% of the participants in the LinkedIn research feel working remotely has no harmful impact on their careers, however a similar proportion also believed their chances of career growth could be reduced if they didn&rsquo;t go to office as much.
The survey also provided interesting insights about desk bombing, loud leaving and chai breaks.&nbsp;
Desk bombing refers to a situation when a colleague shows up unannounced at a worker&rsquo;s desk to have a chat. 62 per cent of Gen Z professionals in India see &ldquo;desk-bombing&rdquo; as a great way to have impromptu conversations.
Loud leaving is a practice in which someone, typically a manager visibly leaves the work place making it known that it&rsquo;s okay to shut down and stop working at a reasonable time. 60 per cent of participants in the LinkedIn survey say they have experienced &ldquo;Loud Leaving&rdquo;

Researchers at Harvard Medical School and Hebrew SeniorLife state that this function starts diminishing as early by the age of 55 instead of at 65 and should be monitored to prevent falls and injuries.&nbsp;
A large group pf people between the ages of 40 and 64 years participated in the study. The team observed their ability to walk under normal and quiet conditions and also while performing a mental arithmetic task. The latter situation caused noticeable changes in their gaits that generally start at early 60.&nbsp;
The study was published in The Lancet Healthy Longevity and concluded that age-related decline of dual-task walking may indicate, at a much earlier age, when interventions should start.&nbsp;

The study was published in PLOS Medicine based on data from 9,498 women who developed breast cancer in the age group of the 20s and 40s.&nbsp; After the usage of oral contraceptives for 5 years it was found that almost 8 in every 100,000 women in the age group of 16 to 20 and 265 in every 100,000 aged between 35 to 39 were found to have developed breast cancer.&nbsp;
Most contraceptive pills contain oestrogen and progestogen, which are responsible for increasing the risk of breast cancer by 20-30 per cent among users.

A recent study published in the Endocrine Society's Journal of Clinical Endocrinology &amp; Metabolism stated that women with obesity might pass on the disease's risk to their daughters but not to their sons.&nbsp;
The researchers measured body fat and muscle in 240 children (9 years old or younger) and their parents. They used data to determine the body mass index, the amount of body fat and muscle in the children and the parents.&nbsp;
It was found that girls had a similar BMI and fat mass as their mothers and inherit a high risk of developing obesity or being overweight from them. The research did not find the same thing between boys and their mothers.&nbsp;
