Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Labour Department has fully digitized its services and industrial schemes, making them accessible with just one click.

Labour Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond announced that key services, including building plan approvals, acceptance of stability certificates, factory registration, license issuance and renewals, license amendments, and permissions for women to work night shifts, are now available online.

Additionally, registration of principal employers and the issuance of contractor licenses can be accessed through the official website: https://pblabour.gov.in.

He further stated that services such as welfare fund payments, claims under the Punjab Labour Welfare Board, registration of construction sites and trade unions, submission of annual returns under labor laws, and claims for benefits under the Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board are also available online.

Additionally, the Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has simplified terms and conditions for various welfare schemes, including the Stipend Scheme, LTC Scheme, and Shagun Scheme.

Sond highlighted that the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has abolished the two-year service condition for laborers to avail of stipend schemes for their children.

"The benefit of the stipend scheme is now available from the day laborers start making contributions," he stated. He also announced that the requirement for a registered marriage certificate under the Shagun Scheme has been removed.

"Now, laborers can avail the benefits of the Shagun Scheme by submitting photographs of religious places and religious personalities who solemnized their marriage," he added.
