The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is not only working for the welfare of various communities but is also committed to the holistic development of children.

In this regard, the Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development, Dr. Baljit Kaur, has issued new guidelines for online registration for playway schools.

Sharing this information, Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur explained that it is mandatory for these schools to have a play area, and it is also necessary for schools to have cameras installed.

Dr. Baljit Kaur appealed to parents to verify whether the school is registered before enrolling their children. Information regarding this will be uploaded on the official website of the Department of Social Security, Women and Child Development. She emphasized that the health of children aged 3 to 6 years in Punjab will not be compromised. Playway schools operating in a single room will be completely shut down.

The Cabinet Minister further stated that schools will ensure timely health checkups and maintain records of immunizations for children. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann, the policy will now be effectively implemented at the ground level, with the launch of a robust online registration system for schools.

The Minister explained that playway schools will use games as a tool for early childhood development, which will enhance both the physical and mental growth of children. She also mentioned that to monitor children’s health, parent-teacher WhatsApp groups will be established.
