This prestigious award signifies the collective dedication of Navi Mumbai's citizens and administration towards sustainable water management, as highlighted by NMMC Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Kailash Shinde. In a congratulatory note, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde commended NMMC's remarkable achievement, according to a civic release. The National Water Awards are established by the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti’s Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. Union Minister C R Paatil, announcing the winners on Tuesday, stated that President Droupadi Murmu will present the awards in New Delhi on November 18.
