State Government Committed to Encouraging Meritorious Students: CM Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh’s per capita income has now risen to ₹1.52 lakh, up from just ₹11,000 in 2002–03.

In the past one-and-a-half years, the state has increased its irrigated area by 7.5 lakh hectares.

The ongoing River Linking Campaign will benefit several districts, while industrial activities and investments are receiving special encouragement. He added that the state government is committed to supporting meritorious students through all possible means.

Students scoring over 75% in Class 12 and topping their schools are being provided with laptops and scooters. Dr. Yadav was speaking at the Swarn Sharda Scholarship 2025 distribution ceremony organized by a private news channel.

He awarded scholarships and certificates to talented girl students, wishing them success in their future endeavors.

During the event, Priyal Dwivedi, who topped the MP Board Class 12 exams from Government Higher Secondary School, Amarpatan, expressed her wish to study at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) but cited financial constraints.

In response, Dr. Yadav announced that the state government would sponsor her education at VIT. A total of 66 toppers from across districts were honored—each receiving ₹50,000 and a certificate. Priyal Dwivedi received ₹1 lakh, while her school was also awarded ₹1 lakh.
