MP Tribal welfare minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah leads relief efforts for Khivni-affected families

Madhya Pradesh Tribal Welfare Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah visited tribal families affected by the recent anti-encroachment operation in Khivni Wildlife Sanctuary, Dewas district.

Braving heavy rains and muddy terrain, the minister reached the families on foot to assess their condition and offer direct support.

Dr. Shah spent time sitting among the affected residents, listening to their grievances and sharing in their pain. He assured the families of the government's continued support during this difficult period.

“Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has sent me here to personally check on your well-being and to ensure you receive the necessary assistance. The government stands with you. You will receive the full benefits of all public welfare schemes,” he told the families. He also informed them that financial aid cheques were being distributed to help in rebuilding homes.

Emergency Relief Measures Rolled Out for Displaced Tribals

Acting on the Chief Minister’s directives, the state government has extended several relief measures for families displaced by the encroachment clearance. These include six months of additional ration supplies and ₹20,000 in financial assistance per family. In addition, cooked meals are being provided on-site to meet immediate food requirements.

The measures reflect the administration’s commitment to ensuring a humane and dignified resettlement for the affected tribal population, with a focus on welfare and rehabilitation.
