MP CM Mohan Yadav presides over MoU signings for Anand Grams and Narmada conservation

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Monday witnessed the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) at a ceremony held at Samatva Bhavan, his official residence.

The MoUs were signed under the aegis of the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad, which Dr. Yadav heads as president.

Congratulating all participating institutions, the chief minister said, “Together, we will work for the all-round development of the state.”

The first MoU, a tripartite agreement, was signed between the State Institute of Happiness, Bhopal; Deendayal Research Institute, Chitrakoot; and the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad. It aims to develop “Anand Grams” or villages of happiness by implementing sustainable development models. The three institutions will collaborate on training programs and capacity building.

The second MoU, a bilateral agreement, was signed between the Jan Abhiyan Parishad and Narmada Samagra, Bhopal. It focuses on promoting river conservation through public participation and awareness campaigns. The agreement seeks to transform attitudes towards water bodies and improve the environmental conditions of the Narmada and its tributaries.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials and dignitaries, including vice chairman of the Jan Abhiyan Parishad Shri Mohan Nagar, additional chief secretary Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla, principal secretary of the happiness department Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh, CEO of Rajya Anand Sansthan Shri Ashish Kumar Gupta, and executive director of the Parishad Dr. Bakul Lad. Representatives from partner organisations, including Deendayal Research Institute and Narmada Samagra, were also present.

Parishad’s vision

According to officials, the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad regularly signs MoUs with expert bodies to strengthen public involvement in governance and development through volunteerism and collective action.

The tripartite MoU will enable the three signatories to share their expertise and create a replicable model for village happiness. The bilateral agreement with Narmada Samagra aims to develop a strategic framework for the conservation and rejuvenation of the Narmada River, ensuring its clean and uninterrupted flow for future generations.
