Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Sunday said that taking Madhya Pradesh to new heights of development is the government’s top priority.
Addressing the inauguration and bhoomi-pujan ceremony of development works in Kundal village, Ratlam district, he said the state is witnessing rapid growth with special focus on farmers, dairy producers and welfare schemes.
The chief minister inaugurated and performed bhoomi-pujan for 57 projects worth ₹246 crore, which included the inauguration of 37 works worth ₹158.64 crore and bhoomi-pujan of projects worth ₹87.27 crore.
He also approved a ₹113 crore drinking water scheme and the Mor Kundwa irrigation project. In addition, he announced that after a feasibility study, a four-lane road between Ratlam and Khachrod will be constructed at a cost of ₹220 crore.
Dr. Yadav declared that Madhya Pradesh aims to become the “milk capital of India” by 2028. He announced that under the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana, entrepreneurs establishing units with 25 cows and a cowshed worth up to ₹42 lakh will get an incentive grant of ₹10 lakh while retaining full ownership of milk and by-products. For large gaushalas, the government will bear up to 25% of the investment cost. He also assured development at the religious sites of Koteshwar and Virupaksha Mahadev.
On public transport, the chief minister announced the relaunch of bus services under the “Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Yojana”, starting from the Malwa region. A world-class green corridor from Jaora to Ujjain is also under development, expected to benefit Ratlam the most.
Highlighting the region’s distinct identity, Dr. Yadav said, “Ek taraf tamam-ek taraf Ratlam” has been the pride of the region, with Ratlam’s jewellery, savoury snacks and kachoris earning global fame.
The chief minister also announced several welfare measures:
- Under the Parvati–Kalisindh–Chambal river-linking project, irrigation water will reach every farm and village in Ratlam. Farmers will be provided solar pumps to generate their own electricity and gain permanent relief from power bills.
- For healthcare, he said even the poorest will receive free treatment up to ₹5 lakh, with air ambulance and helicopter facilities for major cities. Under the Rahveer Yojana, if an accident victim is taken to hospital, the government will bear medical costs up to ₹1.5 lakh and reward the rescuer with ₹25,000. “This scheme represents true humanity,” he remarked.
- In employment, he announced recruitment of 2.5 lakh candidates for government jobs in the next five years, including filling all police vacancies within three years. Industries offering local jobs will receive government support, with an incentive of ₹5,000 per youth employed.
- Every family in the state will be provided a permanent house. From Bhai Dooj on Diwali, women under the Ladli Behna Yojana will receive ₹1,500 per month, which will gradually rise to ₹3,000 in the next five years.
Dr. Yadav also informed that the PM MITRA Park near Badnawar in Dhar district will soon have its bhoomi-pujan, generating over one lakh direct jobs. “The government is for the poor, helpless, and needy, and it is our responsibility to bring new light into their lives. No one will be left out of development benefits,” he said.
The program was also addressed by Ratlam-Jhabua MP Smt. Anita Nagar Singh Chouhan and Ratlam Rural MLA Shri Mathuralal Damor. CM Yadav was welcomed with traditional tribal honours including a turban, bandi, silver bracelet, and bow & arrow.
The event saw the presence of Minister for MSMEs Shri Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap, Jaora MLA Dr. Rajendra Pandey, District Panchayat President Smt. Lalabai Chandravanshi, former Minister Shri Himmat Kothari, former MP Shri Guman Singh Damor, other representatives, and a large gathering of villagers.
