Fatal Collision on Ishan River Bridge: Traffic Snarl on Etah-Agra Highway

Etah (Uttar Pradesh), June 26 (PTI): A tragic accident occurred on a narrow bridge here early Thursday morning, resulting in the death of a man after a head-on collision between two dumper trucks.

The incident unfolded at around 4 am on the single-lane Ishan River bridge, located on the Etah-Agra highway, and it also led to a significant traffic jam.

According to police reports, the two trucks, both speeding, collided as they attempted to cross the bridge simultaneously, igniting a fire in both vehicles.

The deceased, identified as Rajveer Singh (35) from Dholpur, was working as a helper. He became trapped in the cabin of one of the trucks and tragically died on the spot, as confirmed by RK Singh, SHO of Kotwali Police Station.

Fire tenders and multiple police teams promptly arrived at the scene, taking approximately an hour to bring the flames under control.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
