Zeenat Aman: Exploring iconic accessories in her wardrobe

Style icon Zeenat Aman unveils her elegant wardrobe, highlighting her iconic hats, scarves, and sunglasses, while emphasizing a shift towards practicality over luxury designer items.

Zeenat Aman: Exploring iconic accessories in her wardrobe

Renowned for her fashion-forward choices in her heyday, Zeenat Aman recently gave her Instagram followers an exclusive tour of her own closet, unveiling the quintessential elements that define her timeless style. Her collection is a testament to both elegance and practicality, featuring her signature hats, sunglasses, and scarves.

Aman confesses a penchant for beachside getaways, often accompanied by her cherished straw hats. She writes, "I have a terrible propensity for straw hats!" Highlighting a white, floral sun hat, she shared its chic and practical contribution during her last visit to Goa, emphasizing the necessity of choosing the right size.

Scarves are Aman's versatile allies, serving a multitude of purposes. She describes her collection as extensive and diverse, with pieces sourced from Cape Town, London, Taiwan, and India. "Scarves to the rescue!" she declares, crediting them for adding color to outfits, shielding her hair, and providing protection against dust.

For Zeenat Aman, sunglasses offer both style and solace. They're her "security blanket," she admits, rarely seen without them. Among her selection of around 10 pairs, those from Burberry, Prada, and Gucci are her top choices.

The Bollywood icon reveals that her once-favored designer purses have taken a backseat. Emphasizing comfort and utility over luxury, Aman now prefers a simple, large jhola or basket. Two favored bags, acquired from Nila in Jaipur during a shoot for "The Royals," embody her current style mantra.

Last year, Aman candidly addressed her reputation as a "Woman of high fashion," humorously claiming the role tickles her. Contrary to this perception, she embraces a more casual wardrobe, finding many designer outfits impractical. Even the haute couture gifts from a wealthy friend often remain unworn. Similarly, her mother's valuable saris remain tucked away, awaiting a repurpose aligned with her personal taste.

Since debuting on Instagram, Zeenat Aman has consistently captivated audiences with her authentic and thought-provoking insights, whether discussing on-screen nudity or sharing parenting tips. Her posts resonate beyond fashion, echoing her profound perspectives on celebrity privacy and style. Known for her impactful roles in classics like "Don," "Satyam Shivam Sundaram," and "Hare Rama Hare Krishna," Aman's online presence continues to be as compelling as her on-screen performances.
