Netflix on Monday dropped the trailer for its latest documentary, 'The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth', which delves deep into the complexities of the sensational Sheena Bora case. Directed by Uraaz Bahl and Shaana Levy, the trailer for the four-episode docuseries promises to give an overview of the Sheena Bora murder that had become a widely discussed sensational topic across the country.

Indrani Mukerjea and her daughter, Vidhie, feature in Netflix's true crime documentary. The trailer sheds light on the high-profile murder, with journalists who covered the story, family, friends, and other connections coming to the fore to chronicle the scandalous event. The trailer ends when Indrani is asked, “Did you murder your daughter Sheena?” Indrani smiles and retorts, “What a stupid question.”

Netflix presents the secrets that 'unraveled and destroyed lives'

“As the shocking story unfolds, viewers will be privy to previously unseen family photographs and unsettling call recordings, providing insights into the motives behind young Sheena’s mysterious disappearance and casting doubt on each person’s version of the truth.

“Navigating through conflicting initial reports, the docuseries presents both sides of the narrative, offering a glimpse into the dysfunctional dynamics of an elite Indian family and the secrets that unraveled and destroyed lives,” a note by the streamer read.

The documentary will air on Netflix from February 23.
