'The Great Indian Kapil Show' will return for Season 2!

Less than two months after its premiere, Kiku Sharda and Archana Pooran Singh confirmed that season one is going off-air, sending fans into despair. However, much to fans' delight, Kiku Sharda has now assured fans that this is just a temporary halt and that the show will return for a second season soon.

He told News18, "We have done 13 episodes and the second season will come out soon. We have just wrapped up the first season. It was always meant to be like this. We have already planned the next season and it will come out soon. There won’t be a very huge gap."
He then added, “On television, it used to be longer, but it is about different formats. This is also interesting. There will be a short gap now and the second season will be back soon. It sounds like a wrap because we make it look like it. But it is temporary. We will be functioning again soon."

The journey so far

The Great Indian Kapil Show debuted on Netflix on March 30. The premiere episode featured Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Neetu Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor. Brothers Vicky Kaushal and Sunny Kaushal brought back their childhood memories in the fourth episode of Kapil's show. This week's debut of the fifth episode included Aamir Khan as the guest. Bobby Deol and Sunny will grace the next and last episode of the first season of the show.
