Samantha to lead 'Citadel' Indian spin-off opposite Varun Dhawan, say reports

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is on a roll and more power to her! Reports say, Samantha has been roped in by Amazon Prime Video, for the cast of the Indian spin off of 'Citadel', opposite actor Varun Dhawan.

The action-thriller venture, will be directed by Raj and DK, who also worked with Samantha in 'The Family Man 2'

Reports say, the team is planning to mount the show on a massive scale and get stunt coordinators of international repute on board. Both Varun Dhawan and Samantha will do multiple workshops and training sessions to learn various forms of action.

The cast and crew will begin the shooting in 2022, and reports say the show could stream in 2023 on Prime Video.

'Citadel's' international version stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Game Of Thrones star Richard Madden. Touted as a "global thriller multi-series," the Russo Brothers' backed project is being produced in various parts of the world.

On the work front, Samantha is set to make her global film debut with 'Arrangements of Love', back home, she will also be seen in Taapsee Pannu's home production.
