‘Lock Upp’ grand finale: Date, time, finalists and other deets

The winner of the first season of 'Lock Upp' will be announced in just over 24 hours. The reality show, hosted by Kangana Ranaut, is being broadcasted on ALTBalaji and MXPlayer. In tune with its captivating format, the show put celebrity contestants to the test in a jail-like atmosphere, where they competed for even the most basic necessities. Ekta Kapoor produced the 70-day series, which will air its grand finale on Saturday (May 7).

Ever since the show started, we have seen the contestants make some shocking and controversial revelations. While 'Lock Upp' kicked off with 20 contestants, the final episode will see 6 contestants vying for the grand prize. The six finalists are Prince Narula, Shivam Sharma, Munawar Faruqui, Anjali Arora, Payal Rohatgi and Azma Fallah.

While the prize money is yet to be revealed by the show’s makers, reports say it might range from ₹5 lakh to ₹25 lakh. The winner is also expected to get other sponsored goodies in addition to the trophy and the prize money.

The grand finale of 'Lock Upp' will be streamed on ALTBalaji and MXPlayer on Saturday (May 7) at 10.30pm. The show's finalists and the former (eliminated) contestants will give special performances to keep the audience entertained.

For the unversed, Kangana Ranaut made her hosting debut on television with ‘Lock Upp’. This was followed by the ‘Bigg Boss’ fame Karan Kundrra joining the show as a ‘jailor’.
