Happy Birthday, Prachi Desai: Prachi Desai popularly known by her on-screen name Bani from the Television show ‘Kasamh Se’ is celebrating her birthday today. She is one of the few actors who has ruled the television Industry and also made it to Bollywood successfully.

She made her TV debut as the lead protagonist in the soap opera ‘Kasamh Se’. Her first Bollywood break was with Abhishek Kapoor’s directorial ‘Rock On’. Till now, she has been a part of movies like ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai’, ‘Bol Bachchan, and 'Azhar’ among others.

Acting Debut
Prachi Desai debuted with Ekta Kapoor's television drama, ‘Kasamh Se’ in 2006 co-starring Ram Kapoor. Her character Bani from the show gained immense popularity and she went on to win many awards for the same, including the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role.

Winner of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2’
Prachi Desai participated in the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2’ along with choreographer Deepak Singh. Although she was eliminated, but came back to the competition as a wildcard entry and finally won the show and the trophy of Dancing Star.

Break in Bollywood
After being so loved in Television Industry, she made her way to the big screen and got her first break with Abhishek Kapoor’s directorial ‘Rock On’ in the year 2008, co-starring Farhan Akhtar, where she played his wife. there was no looking back after that and she went on to feature in movies like ‘Life Partner’, ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai’, ‘Bol Bachchan’, ‘Azhar’, and many more. She has also been part of dance numbers such as ‘Awari’.
