Yash’s ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ Hindi becomes biggest opener in India, beats ‘War’

After getting postponed multiple times, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ finally hit the theatres on April 14 in five languages.

The film opened to raving reviews and fans are flocking to theatres to watch the action drama.

The film earned ₹165 crore in the worldwide box office on the first day.

Not just this, the Hindi version of Yash's ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ is now the biggest opener in India.

According to Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has collected ₹52.95 crore in India on its opening day.

The film has surpassed the opening day records of Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff's ‘War’ and Aamir Khan's ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ follows the story of Yash's character Rocky after he takes over the Kolar Gold Fields.

The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty and Raveena Tandon in pivotal roles.
