SS Rajamouli shares major update on 'SSMB29' starring Mahesh Babu: 'We have completed the writing'

SS Rajamouli has spilled the beans on his upcoming project, tentatively titled 'SSMB29'. The filmmaker shared the update with fans in Japan, where he attended a special screening of 'RRR'. Addressing the audience post-screening, Rajamouli revealed that Mahesh Babu has been finalised for his next venture and that the script of the film has been completed.

Speaking to his fans after the screening of 'RRR' in Japan, SS Rajamouli shared some insights into his next project. He said, "We have completed the writing, and we are in the pre-production process. Only the hero is confirmed, and his name is Mahesh Babu. He is very handsome. Hopefully, we will expedite the film's production, and during its release, I will bring him here."

About 'SSMB29'

If Telugu media reports are to be believed, SS Rajamouli aims to recreate his 'RRR' magic, and a next larger-than-life motion film is in the making. The construction of the opulent sets for the film has begun in Hyderabad's Gachibowli area and is estimated to be completed by the end of May. With extensive filming planned across various global locations, the film will likely take over two years to be completed.
