Vijay Deverakonda is busy promoting his upcoming ‘Liger’ co-starring Ananya Panday. The actor recently met Superstar Salman and Chiranjeevi.
Yesterday Vijay took to his Instagram and shared a picture along with Chiranjeevi, Salman Khan, Liger director Puri Jagannadh and the film's producer Charmme Kaur. He captioned the picture, ‘Megastar Chiranjeevi Sir and Salman Khan sir - Your blessings and love for Liger means the world to us. My respect and love always.' In a picture, all of them can be seen smiling while posing for the camera.
Talking about ‘Liger’, the film marks Vijay Devarakonda's debut in Hindi cinema, the film also stars a boxing champion, Mike Tyson, in the pivotal role. Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, ‘Vikrant Rona’ in Mumbai. Salman Khan accompanied the actor during a promotional event. 
During the event, the actors were asked to share their opinion on the North Vs South debate. Kichcha Sudeep said that one must not generalise. Giving an example, he said that many films are made in a year, out of which some do well and the rest don't but that does not mean that South Film Industry is dominating but not Hindi.  
Comparing the scenario to cricket, he said that if Virat Kohli is being out of form for a while and someone else is performing better than him would you say that he is the number one player now? 
Salman who is also a part of the promotions of the pan-India film said that he has been working with a lot of South people. Be it with Kiccha Sudeep, Prakash Raj, Prabhu Deva, and even Venkatesh whose Hindi film 'Anari' was a big hit that featured Karisma Kapoor. 
So, sometimes films work and sometimes they don't. There is no set formula ki 100 per cent yeh hi chalega," he added.

The publicist further added that the actor will be playing the antagonist only in SRK’s film and not in any other Telugu projects as it is being speculated.
On Saturday, PRO tweeted, ‘This is to clarify that #VijaySethupathi sir is doing a negative role only in #ShahRukhKhan sir’s Jawan at this point and that he is not playing a negative role in any other Telugu projects as is being speculated.’ 
‘Jawan’ also stars Nayanthara in a pivotal role. The next schedule of the pan-India film will begin towards the end of August in Chennai, according to the Pinkvilla report.

Aamir Khan is busy promoting his upcoming film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan which is all set to release on August 11. The duo yesterday appeared in the fifth episode of ‘Koffee with Karan 7’.  Host Karan Johar blamed Aamir Khan that he is responsible for the loss of tonality in Bollywood. To which Aamir Khan responded, ‘There's been so much success that some of the South Industry films have offered us in terms of 'Baahubali', then 'RRR', 'KGF', and 'Pushpa' and some of our films that haven't been working. Is there a shift that's happened in our movies recently in terms of like there's a tonality that 'KGF' has or 'Pushpa' has that actually Hindi cinema used to have. We actually let go of it and you're responsible for it.’ Filmmaker Karan countered Aamir Khan and said, ‘In the year 2001 you came up with two films 'Dil Chahta Hai' and 'Lagaan', both had new sensibilities, both had a new syntax in cinema then after that you came up with a film 'Rang De Basanti' in 2006, then you made 'Taare Zameen Par' right after that, with the result you started making a certain audience and filmmakers.’ Aamir reacted, ‘No you're wrong. Those were all heartland films. Those movies had emotions. They reach the common man. It's something that you will emotionally connect to. 'Rang De Basanti' is a very emotional film. It touches the people at grassroots.’ ‘I am not saying make action films or crude films.
