Ram Charan returns to India after Oscars; fans greet the actor

Actor Ram Charan has returned to India after attending the 95th Academy Awards, where the song 'Naatu Naatu' from his movie 'RRR' won in the Best Original Song category.

The actor was greeted at the Delhi Airport by fans on Friday. Upon returning the actor said 'I am pleased & happy. Thank you, everyone. We are proud of MM Keeravani, SS Rajamouli & Chandrabose. Because of their hard work, we went to the red carpet & brought Oscar for India... I thank all the fans and people from North to South and East to West parts of India for watching RRR & making the ‘Naatu Naatu’ song a superhit. Naatu Naatu was not our song it was the song of the people of India. It gave us an avenue for the Oscars.'

He attended the Oscars ceremony with his wife Upasana, and also accompanied director SS Rajamouli and his 'RRR' co-star Jr NTR on the red carpet.

The magnum opus 'RRR' created history at the Oscars as it became the first Indian film to bag an Oscar in this category. The song was also performed live at the ceremony.
