Prabhas' 'Salaar' secures 'A' certification; makers assure an intense action drama

The Censor Board of Film Certification has granted 'A' certification to Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran's action drama 'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire'.
Hombale Films shared the news on social media and teased fans for an intense action spectacle.
The production house wrote, ‘Censor done for #SalaarCeaseFire Get ready for an intense ‘A’ction drama in cinemas from December 22nd (sic).’

It is widely reported that the board decided to give an 'A' certificate because of the violence in the film. The forthcoming movie has a runtime of 2 hours and 55 minutes.
'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire', an action drama in multiple languages, arrives in theaters on December 22 in 5 languages- Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film stars Prabhas and Prithviraj as Deva/Salaar and Varadha Rajamannar. Alongside, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, Bobby Simhaa, and Tinnu Anand play supporting roles.

Reportedly, 'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire' boasts a colossal budget of Rs 400 crore funded by Hombale Films. The film includes composer Ravi Basrur, cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, and editor Ujwal Kulkarni in its technical crew.

On December 10, Prithviraj took to social media and announced the completion of dubbing in all five languages on social media.

Sharing a photo of himself, the actor wrote, ‘#Salaar Final dubbing corrections done. I have had the privilege of lending my own voice for all my characters across various languages I’ve worked in over the years. I have even dubbed for some of my characters in multiple languages. But to be dubbing for the same character, in the same film in 5 different languages is a first for me. Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and of course Malayalam. And what a film to do it for! Deva and Varadha will meet you in theatres across the world on the 22nd of December 2023!.’
