‘Leo’ director Lokesh Kanagaraj gets injured during success meet in Kerala; more details inside

‘Leo’, starring Thalapathy Vijay is doing exceptionally well at the box office and to celebrate the film's success, director Lokesh Kanagaraj hosted a special event in Kerala for fans.
However, during his visit to Kerala the director sustained an injury.
As per sources, Lokesh planned to hold a press conference in Kochi at 4 PM on October 23 and was scheduled to visit a local theatre in the city too.

A large crowd gathered at Palakkad’s Kavita Theater to catch a glimpse of the director.
Lokesh Kanagaraj sustained injuries during a stampede caused by enthusiastic fans. The police had to resort to using batons to control the crowd that had bypassed security measures.

Due to his leg injury, Lokesh had to cancel other events and immediately returned to Chennai. He was unable to visit Thrissur Ragam Theater and Kochi Kavita Theater as planned for the day. Lokesh informed that he will reschedule the press meeting in Kochi for another day.

Later, Lokesh took to X and thanked everyone for gathering and showering immense love.
He wrote, ‘Thank you Kerala for your love.. Overwhelmed, happy and grateful to see you all in Palakkad. Due to a small injury in the crowd, I couldn’t make it to the other two venues and the press meeting. I would certainly come back to meet you all in Kerala again soon. Till then continue enjoying #Leo with the same love’.

‘Leo’ which was released in theatres on October 19 and is inching towards the 450-crore milestone. 'Leo' has already become the highest opening-day earner in Kerala for 2023.
