Karthi's sweet gesture for Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan; Vanitha Vijaykumar reacts to surrogacy row

Actor Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan announced that they have welcomed twin boys on October 9. Fans and celebrities have been sending congratulatory messages for the new parents in town. Now, actor Karthi welcomed the couple into parenthood with a kind gesture. Vignesh Shivan shared a picture of the bouquet and card sent by the actor and thanked him for his thoughtful gesture.

‘Welcome to parenthood. God bless you four,’ the ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ actor wrote.

There has been a lot of speculation whether Nayanthara and Vignesh have welcomed the babies through surrogacy, and if the due process was followed. Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma. Subramanian has said that a probe will be conducted into the matter.

For the unversed, India banned commercial surrogacy in January this year.

Actor Vanitha Vijayakumar of ‘Bigg Boss’ Tamil fame has come out in support of the couple.

She took to Instagram and reshared a picture of Nayanthara and Vignesh with their twins along with a strongly worded caption. She wrote, ‘What is more beautiful than the Birth of 2 innocent children born to loving parents who can provide and give them the life all children deserve to have. Spoiling the most beautiful moments of someone’s life must be punishable under the law first (sic).’

Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara tied the knot in June this year after dating for nine years. A documentary on their wedding, titled ‘Nayanthara Beyond The Fairytale’, will soon release on Netflix.
