In a scene from 'Kaduva,' Prithiviraj mentions that differently-abled children are born that way because of their parents' sins.

Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer 'Kaduva' recently received a lot of criticism from the audience for being insensitive towards the differently-abled children. The actor took to social media on Sunday admitting his mistake and offered an apology. He reshared director Shaji Kailas' note which was posted in Malayalam on Facebook and wrote, 'Sorry. It was a mistake. We acknowledge and accept it.'

In his note Kailas apologised for the hurtful reference to the parents of differently-abled children in the film 'kaduva' and said that is conversation is a 'sleight of hand' He urged everyone to forgive the human error.

He further added that screenwriter Jinu, actor Prithviraj and he didn't think of other aspects of the scene and their only intention was to convince the audience of the cruelty of the villain's actions.

He concluded his note by saying that he's a father who loves his children.

'Even when they fall a little, I get pain. Then I can understand the mental state of parents of differently-abled children without anyone else telling me. The parents' notes showed that the words in the movie were hurt. Please understand that the most precious thing in the world is your children and you live for them.... Sorry....Once again, I apologize knowing that these words will not solve your emotional distress,' he said.

In a scene from 'Kaduva,' Prithiviraj mentions that differently-abled children are born that way because of their parents' sins.

The film also stars Samyukhta Menon as the female lead and Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist.
