Jr NTR pays tribute to NTR on his 101st birth anniversary, visits NTR Ghat | Watch viral video

Telugu superstar Jr NTR visited NTR Ghat on May 28 for his grandfather's 101st birth anniversary. He was joined by his half-brother Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.

A video shows him with folded hands, then sitting on the ground with Kalyan, observing a moment of silence. Balakrishna, NTR's son, also paid respects.

Who was NTR?

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) was a renowned actor, filmmaker, and politician who served as Andhra Pradesh's chief minister for seven years across three terms. He appeared in 300 films and received three National Awards before passing away on January 18, 1996, at his Hyderabad home.

Who is Jr NTR?

Jr NTR, or Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr., is a popular Telugu actor known for his versatile roles and powerful performances. He comes from a prominent film family in the Telugu industry and has a massive fan following. He has worked in several successful films and is admired for his acting prowess and dancing skills.

Jr NTR’s work front

On the professional front, Jr NTR is involved in several projects. He is currently filming Ayan Mukerji's ‘War 2’ with Hrithik Roshan and John Abraham. Despite his busy schedule, he took a break to return to Hyderabad and vote in the Lok Sabha 2024 elections on May 13.

Additionally, Jr NTR is working on ‘Devara: Part 1,’ directed by Koratala Siva. The film is set for a nationwide release on October 10, 2024. Alongside Jr NTR, the film features Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Marathi actress Shruti Marathe in prominent roles.

On Jr NTR’s birthday this year, the producers of his next film with Prashanth Neel shared an update on X (formerly Twitter). The yet-to-be-titled film will go on floors this year, with the makers aiming for a release in 2025.
