Chiranjeevi reacts as Ram Charan becomes first Telugu star to appear on ‘Good Morning America'

Megastar Chiranjeevi is a proud father as his son, ‘RRR’ star Ram Charan has appeared on the most popular talk show ‘Good Morning America’. Ram became the first Telugu celebrity to attend the show. Now, his father Chiranjeevi has expressed his happiness.

Taking to social media, Chiranjeevi wrote, ‘A Proud Moment for Telugu / Indian Cinema @AlwaysRamCharan,features on the famed #GoodMorningAmerica. Amazing how the power of One passionate idea born in the visionary @ssrajamouli's brain, envelopes the world!’

The ‘RRR’ star appeared on the show to promote S.S. Rajamouli's ‘RRR’ ahead of the Oscars next month.

On the show ‘Good Morning America’, he referred to S.S. Rajamouli as India’s Steven Spielberg. ‘He is known as the Steven Spielberg of India,’ the actor said.

When asked about the story of ‘RRR’, he said, ‘It is about friendship, great brotherhood, camaraderie, the relationship between these two characters.’

Ram also added that, ‘It is not just 'RRR', it is Indian cinema and Indian technicians who are being honoured. And just when we thought we had achieved everything possible in India and moved on to the next project, the West just showed us that it was just the beginning.’

Earlier, Priyanka Chopra appeared on the show several times.

On the work front, Ram Charan will be next seen in S Shankar's directorial ‘RC 15’ alongside Kiara Advani. He will be representing team ‘RRR’ and India at the Oscars.
