Actor Karthi pens a heartfelt note for Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan

Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan I’, which is an adaptation of Kalki Krishnamurthy’s epic novel of the same name, is ruling at the box office. The performances of the actors in the film has been getting rave reviews and is being appreciated by the audience too. Actor Karthi, who played the role of Vallavaraiyan Vanthiyathevan in the film, penned a special thank note for Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.

Karthi received a call from Rajinikanth, who appreciated his performance. He took to Twitter to express his gratitude via a letter and wrote, 'Rajini sir, a call from you is extremely special. Your courtesy to reach out to others to appreciate their work and the joy that you give us is always endearing. Thank You.'

In the same post, he shared a heartfelt message for the Kamal Haasan. 'Kamal sir, you have always inspired us to seek bigger goals and set higher standards in cinema but most importantly you have taught us to love & respect one another and how to express that in these moments. Lots of love and respect,' he wrote.

‘Ponniyin Selvan’ released in theatres on September 30, 2022. The film also stars Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among others in pivotal roles. The much-awaited sequel of the movie is slated to hit the theatres next year.
