Sooraj Pancholi gets trolled as he visits Siddhivinayak temple after acquittal in Jiah khan's death case

Actor Sooraj Pancholi was acquitted in Jiah Khan’s suicide case on Friday and a day later, he was seen visiting Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai. A video of the actor visiting the temple went viral online and now he is being trolled by the netizens.

The video shows Sooraj touching his shoes and then Lord Ganesha's frame. The netizens condemned the actor's action.

In an interview with ETimes, Sooraj said he has woken up like a completely new person. Talking about Jiah’s suicide, Sooraj said, ‘What happened to Jiah was really unfortunate. But it was beyond my control. She did not need me as much as she needed her family. She needed the love and support of her own immediate family, not her boyfriend. I hardly knew her for five months. I did the best that I could for that short period.’

According to the judge, the prosecution’s case got weakened by Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan’s evidence. ‘Rabia through her evidence tried to show that Jiah never committed suicide and that she was killed by the accused (Pancholi). However, this is not the case of the prosecution,’ the court said in its order.
