Abhishek Bachchan reviews wife Aishwarya's performance in ‘PS 2’: ‘Her best by far’

Mani Ratnam’s second part of the historical drama ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ was released in theatres on April 28. The film opened to rave reviews and managed to do well at the box office on the opening day, making a gross of Rs 38 crore. Besides fans showering their love on the film, Abhishek Bachchan is also in awe of the magnum opus which stars his wife Aishwarya in the lead role as Nandini.
Abhishek watched the film with the star cast in theatres and later took to Twitter to share a special note for the team. He also praised Aishwarya’s acting in the film and called it ‘the best by her so far.’
Abhishek Bachchan wrote, ‘PS2 is simply FANTASTIC!!! At a loss for words right now. So overwhelmed. Well done to the entire team #ManiRatnam @chiyaan @trishtrashers @actor_jayamravi @Karthi_Offl and the rest of the cast and crew. And so, so proud of Mrs Her best by far. #AishwaryaRaiBachchan (sic).’
‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ also features Karthi, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha and Jayam Ravi in lead roles. Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Ashwin Kakumanu, Mohan Raman, Sarathkumar and Parthiban are part of the supporting cast. The movie is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 novel of the same name.
