Super Junior's Kyuhyun injured as a woman intrudes into his dressing room

Super Junior member Kyuhyun has been injured after an altercation that took place in his dressing room.

According to a report on TV Chosun, Kyuhyun injured himself when a woman in her 30s broke into the dressing room of a musical theatre in Seoul's Magok-dong, Gangseo-gu.

Kyuhyun was to perform at the venue.

The K-pop star sustained a cut on his finger while fending off the intruder.

The woman, who is in her 30s, has been arrested.

The police are investigating where she got the weapon and whether she has a history of mental illness.

She reportedly has no connection to Kyuhyun or any of the other actors who were present, local media said.

‘Kyuhyun suffered a small cut on his finger, which was treated right away on site,’ the 35-year-old's celebrity agency Antenna Music told South Korea's national newspaper JoongAng Daily.

A video of Kyuhyun leaving the venue has surfaced online. It was reportedly recorded after the incident, where his injured finger was seen wrapped with a bandage.

However, the actor maintained his smile and quickly hid his injury from the fans as he waved at them from his car on his way out.

Reacting to the news, a worried fan took to X and wrote, ‘He was probably shocked by the incident, but he still managed to greet his fans. Cho Kyuhyun is the symbol of professional artist. I want him to know that it’s okay to prioritize himself first.’

‘Kyuhyun was very aware of the fans' eyes and didn't want to make us worry, so he hid his injured finger and waved with right hand,’ added another.

Kyuhyun is currently starring as the lead actor in a Korean-language version of the ‘Ben-Hur’ musical, which tells the story of a fictional Jewish hero who was falsely accused of an assassination attempt by the Romans.

The actor-singer joined Super Junior, one of the country's most popular boy bands, in 2006.

Since then, he has also established himself as a musical actor.
