Song Kang’s first look in military uniform goes viral, actor poses with fellow soldiers

South Korean actor Song Kang enlisted in the military on April 2. The actor will be serving an 18-month-long tenure in the army as part of his mandatory military service. Just days after he embarked on this new journey, the first picture of the 'Nevertheless' star dressed in military uniform has taken over the internet.

On April 6, 2024, a new picture of Song Kang in his military outfit was released on The Camp app. The picture shows the actor standing tall alongside other newly enlisted soldiers from the same camp. Sporting a sturdy expression, Song is seen performing the military salute in the picture.

The now-viral picture has now sent Song's fans into a meltdown, as they had been waiting for an update from the actor. While fans have been sharing emotional messages, they are also hopeful that this journey will bring him more strength and courage.

The actor enlisted on April 2 as an active-duty soldier and is expected to be discharged sometime next year. An official discharge date will be released by the end of this year.

Ahead of his enlistment, the 'My Demon' actor took to his Instagram to debut his military haircut and also penned a heartfelt note for his fans, promising them that he would come back soon and healthily.

On the K-drama front, Song Kang was most recently seen in ‘My Demon,’ which turned out to be the most buzzworthy show of last year. He will next be seen in ‘Sweet Home 3,’ for which he wrapped up filming months ago. The zombie thriller is expected to air during the summer of this year.
