'Queen of Tears' ends its run as most buzzworthy drama, Byeon Woo Seok's 'Lovely Runner' bags second spot

Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won starrer 'Queen of Tears' has topped the much-awaited buzzworthy K-drama weekly ranking. The tvN drama, which has overtaken cult classics 'Reply 1988' and 'Crash Landing On You' in terms of popularity, has once again dominated the popularity chart. The 16-episode-long romantic comedy concluded its run on Sunday, April 28.

'Queen of Tears' most-buzzworthy drama

'Queen of Tears' continued its reign at the top of buzzworthy dramas and actors on Good Data Corporation's weekly rankings list, maintaining an unbroken eight-week streak at the coveted No. 1 position. The drama's finale episode garnered a staggering 24.9 per cent viewership rating, making it the highest-rated programme in tvN’s history.

Kim Soo Hyun most buzzworthy actor

Thanks to the 'Queen of Tears' frenzy, Kim Soo Hyun secured the top spot as the most buzzworthy actor, while Kim Ji Won gained the No. 2 place. Park Sung Hoon claimed the fifth spot, while Lee Mi Sook and Lee Joo Bin rounded out the list at No. 8 and No. 10, respectively.

Lovely Runner bags second spot

tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Lovely Runner', starring Byeon Woo Soek and Kim Hye Hoon, maintained its second position, with fans extending their unwavering support and adoration each week. The time slip romance fantasy genre drama has gained a cult following among the K-drama community. Meanwhile, Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon maintained their positions at No. 3 and No. 4, while Song Geon Hee ascended to No. 6.

Meanwhile, MBC's latest retro drama, 'Chief Detective 1958', took the third spot on the drama list, with its star Lee Je Hoon maintaining a strong presence at No. 7 on the actor list. On the other hand, SBS' 'The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection' remained steadfast at No. 4 on the drama list.
