Kim Jin-min, director of Netflix series 'My Name' reveals how he picked lead actor Han So-hee

Kim Jin-min, the director of new South Korean action drama "My Name" says he only had one question before casting lead actor, Han So-hee, in his popular Netflix Korean series.

"I asked her whether she'd train (for action scenes) and told her she can take part only if she trains hard," he said.

"I told her she shouldn't do this drama if she plans on using a stuntman."
"She trained hard so I thought she deserves to be the main actor in this drama. If she hadn't trained hard, I would've said 'I don't think you are suitable.'"

"My Name" which has been topping Netflix's South Korea top 10 chart for days, is about a gangster's daughter Jiwoo (played by Han So-hee) who joins a cartel and becomes a mole in the police in order to avenge her father's mysterious death.

The series drew almost immediate attention after the release for its large-scale action scenes and the performance of Han So-hee.
