Han So Hee-Ryu Jun Yeol call it quits two weeks after confirming relationship; read agency's statement

Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol have officially parted ways. According to a report by EDaily on March 30, 2024, the pair have ended the relationship. Ryu Jun Yeol’s side has also confirmed the same. The couple had confirmed their dating news merely two weeks ago. The latest update comes a day after Han called out Ryu for maintaining his silence amidst the backlash against her for their supposed 'transit relationship'.

Han So Hee-Ryu Jun Yeol confirm breakup!

Han So Hee's agency, 9ATO Entertainment, shared a statement on Saturday, confirming her breakup with Ryu Jun Yeol. It added that the actor will duly receive whatever criticism there is.

"Han So Hee has made both herself and the public suffer due to her personal feelings all this time. The way she communicated [with the public] was not right. She is sorry. She will duly receive whatever criticism there is. Moreover, our responsibility is huge for not being able to care for our actor as her agency. The company failed in its role as a nesting place. We are reflecting. Although it is very late, we are trying to correct it from now on. We hope you will look over her warmly. She will return again, healthy."

Ryu Jun Yeol's representatives confirmed the new development, claiming, “It's true they broke up. We ask for your understanding, as we have nothing else to say except to confirm the breakup.”

Backlash against Han So Hee

Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol first made headlines after the duo was spotted vacationing in Hawaii. After pictures from their intimate get-away broke the internet, their agencies confirmed their relationship. Following this, Ryu Jun Yeol's 'Reply 1998' co-star and girlfriend of six years, Hyeri, shared a cryptic Instagram story, which many believed was a dig at her former boyfriend's new romance. Soon after, Han So Hee took to her social media to drop a mysterious note, allegedly launching an attack on Hyeri. The entire episode led to brutal criticism against Han So Hee, as many found her response derogatory, with several even claiming that she was the reason behind Jun Yeol and Hyeri's breakup. While both Hyeri and Han So Hee apologised for their impulsive actions, Ryu Jun Yeol maintained his silence.
