BTS’ V celebrates birthday; fans shower love on 'Wherever u r' feat. V of BTS

BTS member Kim Taehyung aka V is celebrating his 27th birthday today. From South Korea to Japan to United States, fans are ready to paint the world purple to celebrate the birthday of their favourite idol. The Tae-Tae fever has taken over thousands of convenience stores in South Korea. As per reports on social media, 5,300 convenience stores in South Korea broadcast birthday ads for Kim Taehyung. From colourful billboards to buses with V’s face, fans have found different ways to celebrate V’s Day.

‘Wherever U R’ music video out

Taehyung who loves his ARMY equally, did not disappoint. Even though the BTS star is currently enlisted in the military for his mandatory service, his song in collaboration with American singer UMI has kept his fans occupied. The song titled ‘wherever u r’ seemed like a perfect gift from V for his fans. Social media is buzzing with fans going gaga over Tae’s deeper-than-ocean vocals.
V and UMI’s duet song ‘Wherever U R’ is reigning hearts across the globe. Speaking about working with V, UMI in an interview said, “I’m hoping, since he’s leaving, when people listen to this song, they can think of him.” V’s fans seem to agree with the singer. The song has been trending and getting positive reviews.

V and RM’s picture from military camp

A day before his birthday, the first picture of V along with BTS leader RM was released on social media platforms by fan sites. The picture featuring V and RM in military uniforms soon went viral. All seven members of the band are currently serving their mandatory military service. V and RM joined the military on December 11, while the other two members Jimin and Jungkook enlisted the following day. The boyband will reconvene their group activities in 2025.
