BTS singer Jimin recognised as ‘elite soldier’ in the South Korean military

BTS member Jimin is doing his best even in the military. On October 7, South Korean media outlet has reported that the singer has earned an early promotion in the military.

Jimin has now become a ‘Special Warrior Elite Soldier’. This isn’t the only time that the BTS star has shone with his exemplary performance. Earlier in January, when Jimin completed his five-week basic military training, he had graduated at the top of his class. He also received the division commander’s award for being the best trainee.

According to the reports, a ‘special warrior elite soldier’ title is given to the soldiers with exceptional physical and mental strength. Besides Jimin, eldest BTS member Jin also earned the title of Special Warrior during his military service. Fans celebrated Jimin’s achievement and applauded his hard work.

On the music front, Jimin’s lead track ‘Who’ from the latest album ‘Muse’ has become the fastest Korean song to surpass 700 million streams on Spotify. The song also became a chartbuster and is featured on Billboard charts.

For the fans missing Jimin, they can get a glimpse of his adventures with bandmate Jungkook on their travel show ‘Are You Sure’. The series is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Jimin enlisted in the South Korean military on December 12, 2023 along with Jungkook and will be discharged in June 2025.
