BTS' Jin to be a torchbearer for South Korea at the Paris Summer Olympics; fans are elated

BTS singer Jin will participate in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris as a torchbearer for South Korea. Several South Korean news outlets have confirmed that Kim Seok-jin, recently discharged from military training, will take on this role, marking his first official work commitment.

Dispatch reported that Jin will fly to France to join the Summer Olympics. However, the date and location remain undisclosed. The Paris Olympics flame, lit in Greece, reached France last month and will travel through various cities before the opening ceremony on July 27.

This event marks Jin’s first international commitment post-military discharge. Fans expressed their excitement and pride on social media following the announcement of his involvement with the Paris Summer Olympics 2024.

The news of Jin's participation in the Summer Olympics comes shortly after reports that he will appear on the variety show 'It’s Good to Get a Good Rest.' Jin confirmed that he has been busy ever since completing his military training.

‘I have been recording, filming variety shows, and I’m slowly making progress on plans I made in the military, one by one. Showing my face as much as I can but also doing my main job. The final products will all be released a few months later, so please wait just a little bit more,’ the Moon said on Weverse over the weekend.
