BTS’ Jin named new global ambassador of luxury brand Gucci | More details here

BTS member Jin, recently discharged from the military, has been announced as the new global ambassador for the luxury brand Gucci.

In a statement, Gucci's creative director, Sabato De Sarno, praised Jin, saying his ‘warm and kind personality is truly magnetic, and his style is simply unique.’ Sabato added, ‘He is a generous and extraordinary artist who can move people with his music, making us even more honored to share this journey with him.’

The announcement comes after months of speculation, which began when Gucci sent gifts to Jin upon his discharge from the military. Photos of the gifts were shared by ARMY on X, leading fans to wonder if Jin would become the next ambassador for the luxury brand.

The ‘Super Tuna’ singer recently served as an Olympic torchbearer for South Korea at the 2024 Paris Olympics and was announced as the global brand ambassador for Maison FRED.

The ‘Epiphany’ singer has worn Gucci on various occasions. According to WWD, Jin described the brand as ‘iconic’ with ‘a long-standing heritage and modernity.’ He expressed, ‘It is meaningful and thrilling to be a part of such a house.’

Jin now joins other celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Dakota Johnson, Hanni, Lee Jung Jae, Park Gyu Young, and Jay Park as a Gucci ambassador.

Jin, the first BTS member to complete his mandatory military service, is set to debut his new vlog series, RUN JIN, on August 13, 2024. He will also be releasing his solo album soon. Recently, Jin shared a teaser, indicating his album would be the next solo release from a BTS member. In response to a fan's post on Weverse about Jimin's album Muse, he said, ‘Jimin, after you, it's me. I am going to sing too.’
