'Kalki 2898 AD': This is when the trailer for Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer might release

Prabhas fans have a reason to celebrate as the trailer for his upcoming film, ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ is set to be released in the first week of June. Ever since the film's announcement, anticipation has been high for this visual spectacle.

A source told India Today that final touches are being made to the trailer and the makers have high expectations.

Source said, ‘The makers plan to release the trailer in the first week of June. The team is super excited as the trailer is shaping up well. Everything that has been released so far has been received well. So, the makers have high expectations from the trailer. Final touches are being made currently, and it will soon be released.’

'Kalki 2898 AD', directed by Nag Ashwin, is an epic science-fiction action film, that will hit theatres on June 27. The movie features an impressive cast, with Deepika Padukone playing a pivotal role. Amitabh Bachchan also stars, adding weight to the project.

'Kalki 2898 AD' has been in production for some time, promising stunning visual effects, action, and sets. Prabhas' portrayal of Bhairava has captured fans' interest, eager to see his performance. The trailer, expected soon, will reveal more about the story and characters.

The film launched its first teaser at the San Diego Comic-Con last year under previous title ‘Project K’, becoming the first Indian film to do so.

‘The whole film is made for international [audiences],’ Prabhas said. ‘That’s why it’s the highest budget and we’ve got the best actors in the country,’ he added.

'Kalki 2898 AD' marks the beginning of a new cinematic universe. Director Ashwin, inspired by the massive success of Marvel movies in India, hopes to direct sequels if the first film does well. For him, success isn't just about financial gains for stakeholders but also about reaching unexpected audiences. He recalls a theater in Sikkim still showing 'Baahubali' long after its release, a testament to reaching beyond planned targets.
