'Inspiring': Allu Arjun on Waheeda Rehman's Dadasaheb Phalke win

Allu Arjun, who received the National Award for the Best Actor on Tuesday, shared that it was a lifetime experience to witness legendary actor Waheeda Rehman being honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke award.

Allu took to social media to share a picture with her from the venue and wrote, “It was a life time experience to witness Shri Waheeda Rehman ji win the Dadasaheb Phalke award. More than 6 decades of career in films. Truly inspiring.”

Allu also congratulated Alia Bhatt for her National Award win and shared a picture with her in the same post. He wrote, “It was an absolute pleasure to see dear Alia Bhatt win this award. Iconic performance for an iconic film (Gangubai Kathiawadi). Truly deserving and many more.”

Congratulating the ‘Mimi’ actor Kriti Sanon, he wrote, “It was a pleasure having the company of dear Kriti Sanon. A well-deserved award for a league jumper performance. What a lovely lady… wishing her more in this journey… and hopefully a movie together soon.”

The actor also shared a picture with the actor where both are seen enacting famous pose from Allu’s film ‘Pushpa’.

SS Rajamouli, MM Keeravaani, Devi Sri Prasad, and Kaala Bhairava, from the Telugu industry also bagged prestigious awards.

“I am extremely happy that I am receiving this award. It’s a double achievement for me to receive it for a commercial film,” Allu said as he was honoured at the 69th National Film Awards ceremony.
