Trevor Noah gets emotional on his final episode of 'The Daily Show'; bids goodbye after 7 years

South African comedian and television host Trevor Noah bid farewell to 'The Daily Show' on Thursday after seven years. The actor who took over as the host from Jon Stewart in 2015, hosted his final episode on Thursday.

While addressing the studio audience, he said 'Honestly, most importantly, I'm most grateful to you.' The host got emotional and recalled the time they started the show and couldn't find enough audience to fill the seats.

He also spoke about an underappreciated segment of Americas's population and said 'A special shout out to black women. I have often been credited with having these grand ideas. Who do you think teaches me? Who do you think has shaped me, nourished me, informed me? From my mom, my grandma, my aunt'. He further added that if one wants to learn about America, they need to talk to black women.

On the work front, he'll start performing stand-up comedy all over the world again. He recently featured in his stand-up special 'I Wish You Would' which started streaming on Netflix on November 22.
