Tom Cruise's next mission is to shoot in space; talks are on with studio

Hollywood star Tom Cruise has performed several deadly stunts on Earth, and now he is all set to head to space for his forthcoming film. As per reports, the actor has teamed up with ‘The Bourne Identity director’ Doug Liman for a project that involves filming in space.

The duo has approached the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) for this movie and to perform the stunt in International Space Station. The news has been confirmed by Dame Donna Langley, the chairwoman of Universal Studios to the BBC.

If this plan goes well, Tom would be the first celebrity in the history to film a sequence on the International Space Station. Recently, a clip of unreleased footage from Tom Cruise’s movie ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ went viral in which he is seen standing on the biplane, only holding a rig and speaking to the camera.

On the work front, 'Top Gun: Maverick' is Tom Cruise’s most successful movie of his career. The film earned more than $1.4 billion at the box office. He'll next feature in ‘Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning - Part One and Two’.
